Glossy magazines assure us that only expensive creams and cosmetic procedures will help to make the skin younger. However, doctors are sure that a diet for youthful skin will bring much more benefits to the body. Of course, proper care is also very important. But by itself, it does not give such a result. As for Botox and other procedures, they smooth wrinkles, but at the same time they do not help to hide an unhealthy complexion and do not interfere with the formation of new wrinkles.

A diet for youthful skin involves certain restrictions. However, the list of products that harm the skin is relatively small. You will have to limit salt and sugar, give up rich broths and fried foods. It is not recommended to eat spicy dishes, which does not exclude herbs from the diet. By giving up these products, as well as muffins, strong tea and coffee, you can prevent the appearance of age spots and get rid of swelling under the eyes.

A diet for youthful skin is a whole philosophy of nutrition. Your menu should include a sufficient amount of vitamins and nutrients. The diet must contain orange-colored vegetables and fruits that contain beta-carotene. With a lack of this element, the skin quickly becomes dry and rough, and nails and hair become brittle. To diversify the “orange” diet, include pumpkin casseroles, carrot salads, apricot compotes and sea buckthorn in it. Remember that beta-carotene is a fat-soluble vitamin, and therefore is best absorbed in combination with vegetable fats.

A diet for youthful skin also requires a sufficient amount of lycopene. This substance is an antioxidant, and most of all it is found in tomatoes. Moreover, during heat treatment, its amount only increases. Therefore, tomato puree soup or rice baked with tomatoes and mushrooms will add more of this substance to your diet than fresh vegetables. Lycopene speeds up the production of melanin, and this provides an even skin tone.

To prevent the appearance of wrinkles, it is important to ensure the elasticity of the skin. That is why vegetable fats should be included in the diet. You can use not only olive and sunflower oil, but also flaxseed. And you can not completely exclude butter, although you will have to limit its use to 5-10 grams per day.

The elasticity of the skin provides a special protein - collagen. After 25 years, our body gradually ceases to produce it, so you need to consume it in sufficient quantities. A lot of collagen and B vitamins are found in turkey - steam it or bake it and serve it with a vegetable side dish.
