Healthy foods lead to overeating
av_timer12/05/2018People tend to eat more food if they find it healthy, scientists at the University of Texas have proven.
If a person sees a mention on the label that the product belongs to the category of healthy food, then he considers it low-calorie and not satisfying, which leads to excessive consumption of such a product.
The scientists decided to find out how the concept of healthy eating is related to satiety.
Volunteers, divided into two groups, were given the same amount of cookies. The first group - "useful", the second - "harmful". It turned out that the first group ate less. Scientists urge to be careful with the inscriptions on the labels and avoid overeating any products, even healthy ones.
