72 Hour Liver Detox Diet

Our liver has an amazing ability to self-cleanse and regenerate. However, alcohol, nicotine and junk food significantly pollute the liver, preventing it from working in full mode.

For a quality detox, you need to saturate the liver with key nutrients and protect it from salty, fatty, sugary foods, as well as from caffeine.

1st day:

Morning: oatmeal with raspberries and blueberries.

These antioxidant berries protect liver cells from damage by courageously fighting against aggressive free radicals.

Lunch: carrot and beetroot salad; omelet with mushrooms and spinach.

This detox lunch provides you with vitamins C, B5 and B2, which help your liver deal with exhaust gases and other negative environmental phenomena.

Snack: fresh vegetable sticks (carrots and bell peppers) with hummus.

A great snack that increases detoxification activity and saturates us with fiber.

Evening: a serving of chicken curry.

The curcumin found in curry enhances the secretion of bile, speeding up the flushing of tobacco and alcohol toxins from our body.

2nd day:

Morning: muesli with Greek yogurt.

Lactic acid bacteria extinguish the negative effect of toxins on liver cells, and muesli fiber reduces cholesterol levels by an impressive 20%.

Lunch: a serving of broccoli soup.

Enzymes and antioxidants, which are rich in broccoli, accelerate the process of cleansing the liver.

Snack: orange juice and whole grain bread.

Delicious way to increase your vitamin C intake to improve liver detoxification.

Evening: chicken with cauliflower.

Cauliflower stimulates the production of glutathione, which does the most "dirty" work - it breaks down alcohol, nicotine, toxic components of antibiotics and other drugs.

Chicken meat is rich in niacin, the deficiency of which provokes the deterioration of our cognitive functions.

3rd day:

Morning: two boiled eggs and whole grain toast.

Eggs stimulate the processes of dissolving fatty deposits in the liver, increasing the level of the most valuable lipids phosphatidylcholines in our blood.

Lunch: a portion of onion soup.

The sulfur present in onions is needed by our liver to break down paracetamol and alcohol.

Snack: avocado slices and a couple of crackers.

Vitamin E, which is rich in avocados, helps to deal with excess glucose from fruit juices and carbonated drinks.

Evening: pork chop with adjika; portion of steamed vegetables.

Pork saturates us with glycine, which helps to cope with all kinds of E (sweeteners, preservatives, improvers).

Hot pepper from adjika accelerates metabolic processes and promotes effective detoxification.
